After more than three decades in Panama City Beach, a longtime restaurant is closing its doors for the final time.
Hooters Says Goodbye to Panama City Beach
Hooters of Panama City Beach, located at 12709 Front Beach Road, permanently closed after serving the community for more than 30 years.
The restaurant announced its final day on social media Monday. The closure marks the end of a familiar spot for generations of locals and visitors.
For many customers, the restaurant became part of their Panama City Beach traditions. Its history included everything from casual dinners to celebrations, late nights, and gatherings with friends.
The location also employed thousands of people throughout its decades in business. Servers, cooks, bartenders, managers, and other team members all became part of the restaurant’s long history.
A Restaurant Filled With Memories
The restaurant’s farewell message reflected on the many moments that happened inside its doors.
For longtime customers, those memories included first dates, anniversaries, birthday dinners, reunions, and nights out with friends. Regular customers also formed relationships with the staff and other familiar faces.
Some customers had visited the restaurant since its early years. Others returned with their children as their families grew.
That history made the closure about more than losing another place to eat. For longtime patrons, it meant saying goodbye to a familiar part of their Panama City Beach experience.
The End of a 30-Year Chapter
The Panama City Beach Hooters location now joins the list of longtime local businesses that have ended their run in the area.
Its closure also leaves another familiar space along Front Beach Road without the restaurant that occupied it for decades.
While the doors may have closed, the memories created there will remain part of the community’s history. For customers who spent years stopping in for wings, drinks, celebrations, or simply a night out, the location represented a familiar piece of Panama City Beach.
